The Entrepreneurial Role of Social Intelligence Sharing a Success Story at Dhofar University’s Alumni Forum
The Career Services and Alumni Center at Dhofar University organized a forum to share alumni’s outstanding professional experiences and success stories. The forum highlighted the competence and competitiveness of DU’s alumni and discussed continuous training opportunities to create awareness among alumni about the labour market needs.
The Center invited Hassan bin Ahmed Ghafal Al-Shahri, a lawyer and alumnus of Dhofar University to recount his journey after graduation. Mr. Hassan spoke about his former experience as a student and afterward leading to the establishment of his law firm. Al Shahri discussed his most prominent personal experiences highlighting the challenges faced throughout his journey and how he encountered them before achieving professional success.
The Career Services and Alumni Center organizes regular activities that provide a communication platform and share experiences with alumni to motivate them and channel their efforts toward overcoming challenges and achieving a promising future.
Ms. Loujain Al-Maghrabi, Director of the Entrepreneurship Center, talked about the role of social intelligence in developing entrepreneurship projects. The talk focused on the role of six factors in the success of entrepreneurial projects: communication skills, conflict resolution, strategic partnerships, team building, empathy, and client services. A thorough understanding of these concepts contributes to the improvement of social relations within the team and boosts interaction with clients and partners. The talk was followed by constructive discussions and exchange of ideas with the participants.
