DU participation in Arab-ACRAO Conference 41 in Muscat

Dhofar University recently participated in the 41st Conference of the Arab Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (Arab-ACRAO) from 15 to 18 December 2024, which was held at the National University in Muscat. The 41st conference was entitled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Enhancing Admission and Registration Processes”. The participation was through a paper by Dr. Tareq Muhammad Alhousary, Dean of Admissions, Registration, and Student Affairs at the University. The paper entitled “Advancing Registration Processes through Developing an AI-Empowered Academic Advising System”. It is worth mentioning that the organization aims, through its conferences, to enhance and develop admission and registration processes in universities in Arab countries by holding annual conferences in which research related to developing admission and registration systems is presented, in addition to exchanging related experiences between participating members. It is worth noting, also, that this is the first time that this organization has held a session in the Sultanate of Oman.”
