CAAS Hosts International Guest

The College of Arts and Applied Sciences (CAAS) hosted a series of guest lectures. This initiative demonstrates CAAS commitment to providing students with international perspectives in their academic journey. Idun Fjeld, a visiting intern from the University of Bergen, Norway, delivered presentations to two groups: 1- Students from the Social Sciences Department, organized by Dr. Reem Abuiyada. 2- Students enrolled in ENGL 265: Culture in the Classroom, from the Department of English Language and Literature, organized by Dr. Syerina Syahrin. Ms. Fjeld, who is interning with DU from February to June this year, shared valuable insights and perspectives on Norwegian culture. She engaged in discussions that benefited all attendees. The feedback from participating students was overwhelmingly positive. They appreciated the opportunity to gain new perspectives and valued the knowledge Ms. Fjeld shared. This initiative exemplifies CAAS’s dedication to integrating international opportunities into the curriculum. By offering these experiences, CAAS prepares students to become well-rounded global citizens.
