College of Engineering Enhances Education Quality through Specialized Workshop on Aligning Learning Outcomes with the Oman Qualifications Framework
On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the College of Engineering at Dhofar University organized a specialized workshop on crafting course learning outcomes in alignment with the Oman Qualifications Framework (OQF). The workshop aimed to enhance the quality of education and ensure that program outcomes meet the criteria for inclusion in the national framework. The workshop focused on formulating assessment criteria, selecting appropriate evaluation methods, and linking these standards with program outcomes and graduate attributes. Participants also explored how to develop integrated assessment strategies that ensure the achievement of effective learning goals. The session was led by Dr. Issam Al-Bahdoor, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Dr. Al-Manie Barhoumi, Assistant Dean, who provided valuable insights on improving learning outcomes to enhance student experiences and develop their academic and professional capabilities. This workshop is part of the College of Engineering’s ongoing efforts to support academic development and ensure excellence in delivering its educational programs, in line with both national and international standards.
