Delegation from Petroleum Development Oman visits Dhofar University to Promote Community Cooperation
A delegation from Petroleum Development Oman visited Dhofar University as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between Petroleum Development Oman and Dhofar University. The delegation includes Younis Al Amiri, Director of Community Development, Abdulaziz Al Sawafi and Fatma Al Bahrani from the Community Development Department at the Company. The delegation met with Professor Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, the University’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Tariq Al Husari, Dean of Admission, Registration and Student Affairs, and Mr. Omar Al-Shahri, Director of the Community Service and Continuing Education Center. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation between Petroleum Development Oman and Dhofar University in the fields of scientific research and training for students, as well as to explore ways of funding educational and community projects that serve the local community. During the meeting, several topics of mutual interest were discussed, including summer training programmes that provide opportunities for students to acquire practical experiences. At the end of the visit, the delegation met with students and motivated them to work harder for their future. This visit is part of Petroleum Development Oman commitment to its community obligations and support for education and development in the Sultanate of Oman. This initiative is aimed to support its leading role in achieving sustainable and comprehensive development.
