Dhofar University Celebrates International Internship for Women in STEM

Dhofar University is proud to announce that four female students from the Department of Computer Science in the College of Arts and Applied Sciences have been selected for an internship in Malaysia. In line with our commitment to promoting women in STEM and expanding our international collaborations, Eman Hamid Salim Qatan, Fatima Abdullah Al Balushi, Zubaida Salim Al Balushi, and Aya Yousry Hasan will undertake their internship at an IT company, hosted by Universiti Kuala Lumpur. This initiative is part of Dhofar University’s global efforts and positions our students as ambassadors of our institution on the international stage. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Amer Al Rawas, expressed his immense pride in these students. He congratulated them and highlighted their roles as pioneers who will pave the way for more Dhofar University students to engage in international internships. Dr. Khalid Almashiki, the Dean of the College of Arts and Applied Sciences, conveyed his pride and extended his best wishes to the students for their upcoming endeavors. The Department of Computer Science has played a crucial role in facilitating this opportunity, enhancing the academic and professional development of our students while strengthening Dhofar University’s global connections.
