Dhofar University Student Excels at UTAS-Salalah’s Inaugural Scientific Research Symposium

College of Arts and Applied Sciences is proud to announce that Ghadeer Al Ghaiti, has secured third place in the Research Day Poster Competition. This event was part of the first Annual Symposium on Scientific Research and Innovation hosted by the University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Salalah (UTAS-Salalah) on April 23, 2024. Competing against a strong group of ten finalists, Ghadeer showed exceptional research abilities. Her project focused on the crucial link between health issues (aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3) and education (Goal 4), proposing innovative methods to integrate engaging health awareness programs into school curricula. Ghadeer is a second-year student from the Department of English Language and Literature. Her research emphasized the need for fun and engaging learning experiences that support both healthy growth and educational outcomes for schoolchildren. “I am immensely proud of Ghadeer Al Ghaiti and her outstanding achievement at this symposium. Her success highlights the caliber of research conducted by our students,” said Dr. Khalid Almashiki, Dean College of Arts and Applied Sciences.
