Dhofar University’s College of Law Hosts Seminar on Islamic Banking in Collaboration with Bank Nizwa

College of Law at Dhofar University organized a briefing seminar on Islamic banking in the Sultanate of Oman in collaboration with Bank Nizwa on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. This event indicates the University’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with the local community. The seminar which was moderated by Dr. Abdul Karim Mohammed Zalam, Chair of the Private Law Department, included two presentations by Dr. Mustafa Al Naabi Deputy Manager Sharia Training at Bank Nizwa, and Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Al Madani from the College of Law. The talk aimed to introduce Islamic banking, clarify its significant features considering the differences with the traditional banking system, and showcase the most important services of Islamic banking. The seminar also highlighted the development of the Islamic banking industry in Oman and its prospects.
