Enjoy Campus time: Find a balance between academics and extracurricular activities
Dr. Mohamad Mohamad Bassyuni, Assistant Professor of Social Work at the Department of Social Sciences, gave a talk on Wednesday, 2 October, 2024 entitled: Enjoy Campus Time: Find a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. This lecture is a part of the activities of the Center for Student Counselling for Fall 2024/2025, in the domain of lectures and awareness workshops for students. The speaker highlighted the role of time management in planning student campus life, stressing the importance of striking balance between students’ social life and academic obligations, as well as the importance of practicing hobbies and exploiting various talents of each student.
Dr. Bassyuni also emphasized the importance and benefits of prioritizing in setting goals and in life activities and committing to achieving them. He also spoke about planning, its importance and the role of soft or printed diaries in managing time and setting daily, weekly or monthly tasks.
The speaker concluded with remarks on the significance of dedication and adherence to assignments deadlines, the importance of allotting time for hobbies, social, and recreational activities to ensure a psychologically steady and stress-free personality.
