His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion

His Excellency, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion visited Dhofar University on Thursday 25th of April, 2024 and was welcomed by faculty members, administrative staff, and students.

In his address, His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef expressed his pleasure in visiting the University and acknowledged its efforts to promote scientific research and disseminate knowledge and support the business environment. He also noted the importance of coordination between government agencies and universities in the area of Consultancy, Business, Industry, and Investment.

In his welcome speech, Professor Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, Dhofar University Vice Chancellor commended the Minister and his remarkable contribution to the business, industry, and investment activities in Oman. Professor Amer also reiterated the significance of bilateral cooperation in achieving societal and development aspirations.

After the opening remarks, students were engaged in an interactive panel discussion with His Excellency the Minister on Business, Industry, and Investment issues and the importance of the youths’ role in achieving sustainable development within Oman Vision 2040.

It is worth noting that, this meeting is an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the government and academic bodies and strengthening Business, Industry, and Investment networks in the Sultanate of Oman.
