Lecture “Moral Values in the era of the industrial revolution and artificial intelligence “

The Centre for Student Counselling (CSC) organized an awareness and education lecture for university students entitled “Moral Values in the Era of Industrial Revolution and Artificial Intelligence”, presented by Mr. Ghanim Al Mashikhi is a lecturer at the University’s Department of Education on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. The lecture began with a detailed explanation of moral values, their definition and functions and their great importance to societies, as well as classifications of multiple moral values and their objectives. Thus, the industrial revolution was addressed, defined and phased in since the first industrial revolution, to the modern industrial revolution of our time, as well as the definition of artificial intelligence and a detailed explanation of its various negatives and positives to the world at large. A detailed explanation of ethical values was then given in the era of artificial revolution and the great digital development in human life, and that the learner must be conscious and aware of the laws and legislation of digital platforms to avoid any problems that might occur to him. The learner should also know how to preserve his or her rights and protect his or her personal information. How much has been done to familiarize the learner with the moral values that must be upheld, their meaning, importance and religious and cultural reference such as justice, honesty, faithfulness, tolerance, the preservation of rights, reform and other good morals that we derive from our Islamic religion. How many learners have been made aware of the immoral practices in the digital world and demonstrate their punishment and danger to the individual and society, such as violation of privacy, information espionage, violation of intellectual property rights and other practices that are contrary to values and morals. At the end of the lecture, Mr. Ghanim Al Mashikhi thanked him for his presentation to the lecture.
