
Red Team Triumphs in the Second Ramadan Tournament for Dhofar University Staff
In a thrilling and highly spirited final, the Red Team emerged victorious in Dhofar University staff’s second Ramadan football tournament, defeating the Black Team with a score of 2-1. The final match took place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment. The Red Team, led by Dr. Khalid Al-Mashikhi, Dean of the College of Arts, showcased exceptional skills and determination. The Black Team, captained by Yaarub Al-Mashani, put up an intense fight but ultimately fell short. The goals for the Red Team were scored by Dr. Khalid Al-Mashikhi and Ahmed Al-Hadadi, while Saeed Al-Kathiri netted the lone goal for the Black Team. The match was marked by intense competition and high-level performance from both teams, culminating in the Red Team’s triumph.
Following the final whistle, Mr. Ghazi Mohamed Al Rowas, Director of the Center for Training & Development of HR at Dhofar University, presented the championship trophy to the winning team. Individual awards were also distributed, with Ahmed Al-Hadadi receiving the top scorer award for his impressive goal-scoring prowess, and Abdullah Al-Habshi being named the best goalkeeper for his crucial saves. The tournament successfully fostered sportsmanship and camaraderie among employees, promoting teamwork and fair competition. It provided an ideal environment for enhancing professional and social relationships among participants.
