Skills for dealing with different student personality types
SCC held a workshop for the university’s academic and administrative staff on Wednesday, the first of November 2023, entitled “Skills for Dealing with Different Student Personality Types.” The workshop aimed to enlighten members of the academic and administrative staff at the university about the different personality types of students and how to deal with them.
The workshop was presented by Prof. Nasser Said Abdelrasheed, Professor of Psychological Counseling and Director of the Student Counseling Center. The lecture discussed the concept of personality and its components, and the most influential aspects of personality in dealing with others. Then, the definition of different personality types was discussed, such as the individualistic type, the analytical type, the expressive type, the social type, the leadership type, the sensual type, the stubborn type, the Moody type and other types, with an explanation of the most prominent characteristics of these types and how to deal with them through some of the activities that were carried out during the workshop. General skills for dealing with students’ personality types were also addressed.
It was discussed how to measure personality types using the Myers-Briggs Personality Traits and Types Scale.At the conclusion of the session, the lecture participants were thanked, and the participants’ questions and inquiries were received and answered.
