The Center for Student Counseling (CSC) at Dhofar University hosts a PhD researcher in clinical psychology from University of August 20, 1955 in Sokikda, Algeria, for training purposes from September 29 to October 10, 2024
The Center for Student Counseling (CSC) at the university hosted the PhD researcher Rahma Taysir Alamri from the University of August 20, 1955-Skikda, Algeria, who works as a temporary professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Arab Ben M’hidi in Oum El Bouaqi, Algeria, as well as a clinical psychologist, for two weeks for training purposes at the center. This comes at the request of the researcher and the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MOHERI). The researcher in the field of clinical psychology was briefed on the workflow at the center and the various services provided by the center to all university students, and on how to deal with the various cases referred to the center. The researcher was also informed about the ways to communicate with the center, whether through electronic reservations via the center’s page on the university’s website, or via e-mail, phone call, or by transferring to the center by the various entities working at the university. She also contributed to many of the activities provided by the center during this period, and gave an enjoyable and interesting lecture to university students entitled “Get Rid of Academic Stress and Achieve Mental Health” as part of the center’s celebrations of World Mental Health Day. This hosting comes as the center includes expertise and experienced cadres in the field of psychological, educational and academic counseling. She expressed her appreciation to Dhofar University for this hosting and the benefit achieved during the training period.
