The Student Guidance Center participates in the Second Family Forum (Hiwar)

The Student Counseling Center at Dhofar University participated in the Second Family Forum (Hiwar), which was organized by the General Directorate of Social Development in Dhofar Governorates under the patronage of Mrs. Maani bint Abdullah bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah.

The participation of the Student Counseling Center came through the participation of Professor Nasser Said Abdelrasheed in the first dialogue session on the issues and social effects of Juvenile delinquents. During the dialogue session, Professor Nasser Said Abdelrasheed discussed the adolescence stage and its importance in the development of the individual’s personality, the most important physical, cognitive, social, emotional and moral mentality characteristics and traits: of this stage, as well as the methods of guidance and education that parents and educators must follow with adolescents to achieve a safe adolescence.

The forum witnessed the participation of many governmental and private agencies from Dhofar Governorate, represented by the General Directorate of Family Development, the General Directorate of Education, the Royal Oman Police, Dhofar University, the Juvenile Affairs Department, the Family Protection Department and the Public Prosecution in Dhofar Governorate.
