The sun had started to disappear into the blue ocean creating a beautiful
hue to the water. Fadi sat down on the sofa next to the big window, a mug
of coffee resting in his palms while he admired the view outside.
A sudden knock on the front door caught him off guard as he wasn’t
expecting anyone to visit him on a Sunday.
“Nadir?”, he questioned the tall man in front of him, noticing his friend’s
pacing movements.
“Yeah uh, how about we go somewhere? A surprise trip maybe?”, Nadir
asked hurriedly, fidgeting his fingers.
Fadi was confused at the sudden request and hesitantly agreed.
Soon enough, they had arrived in a seaside town an hour and forty five
minutes away from Fadi‘s apartment. Nadir parked his car near the beach.
Handling Fadi the car key, he left to what he explained as work to do.
“make yourself busy with something” “I’ll be back soon”.
Nadir had come to this specific area to finish an important task that he had
been assigned by his boss, Fadi figured.
He agreed to what Nadir had said to him earlier, plugging in his ear
phones and playing his favorite song while his friend took something
heavy-or what seems to be heavy from the trunk and left.
