How I deal with Coronavirus?
When I was asked to share my experience during the time of uncertainties of the pandemic, I
asked myself, what could I possibly share with others that may help them? Here are my tips,
well-tried and tested by me, if it inspires you in anyway.
・ Have a routine
Perhaps being a creature of habit is not everyone’s cup of tea. I found it particularly easy to
have my days, with or without the pandemic, when there is a routine. This includes time for
workout, spending time in the nature, work and rest. Your routine should re゚ect what you hope
to achieve.
・ Be disciplined
Once you have a routine in mind, be disciplined. Stick to it! It is easy to lose motivation, which is
why it is important to have a routine.Example: if your goal is to lose weight, incorporate aspects
of working-out into your routine. However de-motivated or lazy you feel on the day, give
yourself the ٣ seconds rule (1,2, and 3),get up and simply do it.
・ Learn something new
With the curfew and lockdown that were in place, I utilized the time by learning something new.
This included signing up for professional development courses on MOOC (Massive Open
Online Courses), baking cakes and gardening. With having something new to learn, it helped to
keep me busy throughout the day.
・ Follow the rules
It is easy to fall into fake news and conspiracy theories with the abundance of information
being shared on our text messages and social media. I chose to stick to the rules that are in
place and did not allow myself to be convinced otherwise Iam con゙dent the safety measures the
government imposed on us is for our own good.
