CULTURAL WEEK

                          Opening Ceremony at Dhofar University

The opening ceremony of the Cultural Week at Dhofar University was

held under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin
Mohsen Al-Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, and was

accompanied by the Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University, Professor

Amer bin Ali Al Rawas. This vibrant event showcased a blend of
cultural, intellectual, and athletic activities, highlighting the diverse

             talents of our students.

This year's Cultural Week was particularly memorable for me as I had
the honor of participating. Although my role was modest, I felt

immensely privileged and appreciated to be a presenter at the

Foundation Programme's booth, aptly named "CREATIVE SPACES."
Ms. Adla, Ms. Laila, and Ms. Nada were the prominent figures

representing the booth, with Ms. Nada sharing the students'

contributions to the FP magazine, which demonstrated the creative

writing talents of FP students, including their ability to compose
             poetry.

The booth attracted many visitors, including all FP teachers who
came to take pictures with the large frame we had set up, allowing

everyone to capture memorable moments. Among these supportive

teachers was Ms. Carmel, my first teacher at the university, whose

encouragement and maternal affection made a significant impact
on me. The strong bond between students and teachers contributed

to the special atmosphere of the event. Our main objective was to

foster a sense of love and fun among students. Activities included

drawing on cups, candles, and papers, and visitors wrote heartfelt
messages to us and our teachers.
